The UPA aims to advance the growth of PLC technology by delivering UPA certified products that comply with agreed specifications. The UPA focuses on time-to-market, guaranteeing high performance and maximizing the usage of the spectrum for both access and in-home audiovisual and data networking PLC applications to the benefit of all players in the PLC value chain.
The UPA has entered an agreement with OPERA www.ist-opera.org to collaborate on the promotion of the OPERA specification. The OPERA specification has selected DS2’s 200 Mbps chipset for its standard.
