Outdoor PowerLine solutions / Projects enables buildings and villages to access the internet through the already existing electrical infrastructure.
Residents and companies in the local business can benefit from high-speed Internet access in areas not covered by ADSL. Internet access is provided for all. The landscape is protected because the solution does not require new cables to be laid under the village streets. New uses are provided with a number of new Internet Multimedia services including Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Video. These Installations require experienced integrators to implement. A complete solution can be carried out which covers villages (Individual homes and office premises), or partial installations can be made to give connectivity to several levels in a building.
An MV (Medium Voltage) Node injects data coming from the Network Operator into the medium voltage power line. Data flows over the electric grid from the substations to the final users’ socket. This data is sent using different frequency bands through the low voltage lines, where repeaters are installed. A Repeater regenerates the PLC signal on the low voltage lines between home units, including an MV Node, an LV (Low Voltage) Head End, another Repeater, and CPEs (Customer Premises Equipment). Finally, the end user connects the CPE, design for quick and easy installation, to one standard electric socket to receive the data signals.
There are many companies producing Outdoor solutions for PowerLine. See our PLC BPL company directory for information about different solutions available today. |
